What are your views on Taiwan's president Chen Shui-Bian,his Stock Market Queen of a wife & his corrupt in-laws?

In the past few months the president of Taiwan (also known as the Rep. of China) Chen Shui-Bian has run into scandal after scandal.It interests me what other people think about his notorious family.Specifically his son-in-law Zhao Jian-Ming,his son-in-laws father Zhao Yu-Chu and most of all his beloved wife,,,who happens to be earning astronomical amounts of money in stocks/bonds and gift vouchers up to 4 million New Taiwanese Dollars.
I would like to know what an insider to the currant situation predicts and most of all...insight.
Yes, it seems that Chens' son in law has caused the whole family quite a lot of shame, but keep in mind that it was not the president himself. This scandal is a big boost to Taiwan's opposition KMT, who are currently renewing their call to impeach Chen (which is actually the same thing they have been doing all along anyway).
Try his son-in-law and punish him for whatever laws he broke, but to try to use this scandal to bring down Chen just shows that the opposition is just grasping at straws, eager to pick up on any available issue to attack the president.
It's no surprise that Ma Ying-jeou is less that eager to join the calls to re-call the president over this issue. After all, he may soon be president himself, and re-calling the president over some infraction on the part of one of the president's relatives would set a precedent that Ma may find unsettling.
Beyond all this, the KMT's tendency to obsess about the president's family is a sign of their out-dated thinking. In their world, Chaing Kai-shek had a divine right to rule, and his son inherited that legitimacy. They want a big, powerful, handsome, charismatic man to lead them-- which is why they worship Ma. They are big on pedigree and care less about actual policies. Another problem they have is that they cannot distinguish between the KMT party and the state, because they grew up in a time when no such distinction was allowed.
KMT supporters remind me of the old and confused people I see on CNN who protest and carry signs with Stalin's photo in Russia, nostalgic for the "good old days".
